Modafinil & Armodafinil Side Effects

Wouldn’t it be great if there were a medication that provided all the benefits of clarity, concentration, and boosted energy without any other bad effects? Of course it would, but that is fantasy and not reality. Because Modafinil and Armodafinil directly affect the balance of certain chemicals in the brain, known as neurotransmitters, there may be some side effects while you are using them. The good news is that these are usually mild and will not disturb your daily life.

The most commonly reported side effects that some people may encounter are a mild headache and possibly some dizziness or dry mouth. Some people may experience anxiety or nervousness along with their increased energy levels that may lead to reduced need to sleep or even insomnia, however, most people find it easy to catch up on sleep and reset their sleep pattern after the medicine’s effects have worn off.

Unfortunately, Modafinil or Armodafinil may cause serious problems in some patients. Even though these are uncommon, it is very important that you are aware of them before beginning use so you can know what to look for. Always call your doctor if you feel chest pain, like your heart is pounding, if you are getting sores inside your mouth, unusual bruising, or if you are encountering frequent nosebleeds or if your blood doesn’t clot after minor injuries. Some people have also reported low or depressed moods or an increase in aggression. There are some serious medical emergencies that should be taken care of immediately if they occur. Go to the hospital as soon as possible if you get any hallucinations, weird thoughts, faintness, any rashes, or vomiting.

Please use Modafinil and Armodafinil responsibly. Never take more than the recommended dosage each day; usually two tablets. It is also important to not mix this medication with others unless you have consulted your doctor about its safety. Be aware that although Modafinil and Armodafinil are quite safe, our bodies can build up a tolerance to the drug with regular use that will reduce its effectiveness. Do not increase your dosage over the recommended amount to balance this out. Instead, we recommend that you alternate between taking Modafinil and Armodafinil every couple of weeks, months, or if you notice its effects becoming less intense. Because the two formulas operate in different ways, this can give your body time to readjust so that the regular efficacy will return.
